1. Can air conditioning heat my home as well as cool it?
Yes. The systems we install are heat pumps, so they cool in summer and heat in winter. Many customers find them an efficient way to take the chill off in colder months as well as stay cool in the heat.
2. How much does air conditioning installation cost?
The cost of air conditioning installation depends on the number of rooms, the type of system and the layout of your home, so we give you a fixed price after a free survey rather than a one-size-fits-all figure. A single-room system costs less than a multi-room setup, and we will talk you through the options for your budget.3. How long does installation take?
A single indoor unit is often installed in a day. Multi-room systems take longer, and we will give you a clear timescale with your quote.
4. Do I need planning permission?
For most homes, installing air conditioning falls under permitted development, but conditions apply, for example in conservation areas, on listed buildings or for flats. We will check this with you during the survey.
5. How much does air conditioning cost to run?
Running costs depend on how often you use it, the efficiency of the system and your electricity tariff. Modern systems are very efficient, and using one for heating in winter can be cheaper than some traditional methods.
6. How often should it be serviced?
Once a year. Annual air conditioning servicing keeps the system efficient, helps prevent breakdowns and is usually required to keep the manufacturer warranty valid.
7. My air conditioning has stopped working - can you repair it?
Yes. Our F-Gas registered engineers carry out air conditioning repairs on all major brands. Common faults include poor cooling, leaks, noises and error codes.
8. What brands do you install and work on?
We work with leading brands including Daikin, Mitsubishi Electric and LG, and can service and repair most other makes too.
9. Is my home suitable for air conditioning?
Most homes are. Whether you need a single room cooled or a whole-house solution, we will recommend the right system for your space and budget during the free survey.
10. How noisy are the units?How noisy are the units?
Modern systems are designed to run quietly, which makes them suitable for bedrooms, living rooms and offices. We will help you choose a unit and position it to keep noise to a minimum
11. Do you cover my area?
We install, service and repair air conditioning across Essex, with dedicated coverage in Basildon, Southend-on-Sea, Billericay, Chelmsford and Pitsea. If you are not sure we cover you, just get in touch.
